Paul was one of our oldest and dearest friends. Met at teacher training college 50 years ago and a source of so much fun since then to now. We feel privileged to have known Paul and through him his wonderful wife Hilary and his lovely family and close friends. Paul loved life and people. He was always ready with a strong opinion and up for a heated debate especially if the subject was soccer or rugby. Though really any old subject would do. Paul dealt with his illness with courage, dignity and ongoing optimism, just as he led his life. We will miss him terribly but will never forget his Yorkshire cheer and craic. RIP Simo.
