School was very different in them days. If you struggled you was given up on, but Paul Simpson was one of the very few teachers that didn’t do that, he gave you his all. That Yorkshire humour, understanding and dedication got us all through some hard times. You went on to teach my own kids and got the same respect from them as you got from me. R.I.P Mr Simpson you was a legend. x

The type of man/teacher that you still remember 30 years after leaving school. Tough but fair with a twinkle in his eye. I was very sad to hear of his passing. I still quote him today. RIP Bonehead! Dean Bryant (not to be confused with Dean Bryan 😉)

Simpo - you were truly one of a kind. Will never forget working with you for 5 years at Queensmead. So many highlights including several ski trips. I could listen to your stories all day long. RIP Simpo, you absolute legend! Cheets/Neil Cheetham

Such happy memories of this lovely man, he always made us laugh with his wicked sense of humour and was always ready to get involved with any activity at school - Staff Talent Show was always a hit with Paul in it! My thoughts are with your family Paul xx RIP
